Hospitalized after falling from a 4 meter high scaffolding. Two workers aged 40 and 59, engaged in the renovation of a gym in the Oreto area, were rescued by the 118 health workers and taken to the emergency areas of the Civic and Policlinico hospitals. Both, despite fractures and trauma, would not be life threatening.
The carabinieri who intervened in front of the gym when the ambulances were already taking away the wounded investigate the accident. At that moment, however, the gym turned out to be closed. The personnel of the Service for prevention and safety in the workplace of the ASP are also on site to carry out checks inside the construction site on the devices used on the scaffolding.
The younger of the two workers, taken by ambulance to the Civic emergency room, was hospitalized for a fractured tibia and other traumas under evaluation. Less serious would be the conditions of the 59-year-old colleague, accompanied to the Polyclinic, who suffered injuries in various parts of the body. Their position in relation to the employment relationship with the company in charge of the restructuring is also being examined.
