rooftop movies أفلام, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, has announced its movie lineup for its summer 2021 series, which will show a movie on rooftops and other outdoor spaces in New York City. The series begins Thursday June 17th at Green-Wood Cemetery Through its annual program “This is what we mean by short films” (TicketsThe series will run until mid-September. This year’s lineup will include more than 40 outdoor offerings, including:

- Specials from “new favorite festivals from around the world” including Amalia Ullman‘s UniverseAnd the Natalie Morales“ Language lessonsAnd the Graham Mason‘s Inspector IkeAnd the Anil Kariya‘s jumpAnd the Todd Stevens” swan songAnd the Salomé Gashi‘s tame the garden, and more.

The inaugural celebration on June 16 includes a weekend of open-air “silent” live movie screenings (headphones included) highlighting films that look through the lens of the future and action to highlight stories about black and white perspective. the black experience in the United States.
