On July 16, the play “The last tape” starring Gonzalo molina performed for the first time from a theater, the Nuevo Teatro Julieta.
Thus, Piso 1 producciones marks the beginning of a series of projects from the theater presenting the free adaptation of the play “Krapp’s last tape” by Irish author Samuel Beckett, carried out by Manuel Baca Solsol.
This adaptation focuses on Krapp’s birthday celebration. Every year on this date, he uses to record tapes on his radio and celebrate it alone, in the comfort of his space, accompanied by countless cassettes, wine and his voice. Thus, he goes to his analog diary to remember his memories, wishes and make a new recording, perhaps the last one.
Adapted and directed by Manuel Baca Solsol, produced by Cindy Díaz and Piso 1 producciones, and starring Gonzalo molina , “The last tape”Is a questioning, violent and nostalgic work, since it brings us resources that we no longer use in this modern and virtual world.
