The Council of Ministers is to deal with the draft proposal for the minimum wage and the minimum hourly wage in 2022 on Tuesday, according to the government’s agenda.
The draft of the proposal was prepared by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Development, Labor and Technology.
The minimum remuneration for work is PLN 2,800 gross from January 1 this year, by PLN 200 more than last year. The minimum hourly rate for specific civil law contracts increased from PLN 17 to PLN 18.30 gross.
Height minimum wage for work is determined annually. By June 15, the Council of Ministers presents its proposal for the minimum wage for the following year to the Social Dialogue Council (RDS).
Representatives of employees, employers and the government have 30 days to talk and work out a common position. The minimum wage determined in this group is then announced in Monitor Polski as an announcement until September 15 The Prime Minister.
However, if the RDS does not agree on the minimum wage on time, the government sets it by an ordinance of the Council of Ministers, and this is announced in the Journal of Laws by September 15

Last year, due to the coronavirus epidemic, the deadlines for work on setting the minimum wage were modified. The so-called Under the covid act, the government extended the time limit for presenting its minimum wage proposal until July 31st. In turn, the Social Dialogue Council had 10 days to negotiate. Ultimately, the government set the minimum wage. The minimum wage was agreed with the RDS for the last time in 2010.
