With a little delay, the Troisdorf Jets can now look forward to three freshly appointed C-trainers. Marcel Berlau (Jets Seniors, 1st men), Johannes Jungmann (Jets Prospects. 2nd men) and Marc Fischer (FutureJets, U13) now have the “license to coach”.
The trainer course is designed as a face-to-face event in which the participants have to complete a total of 120 teaching units over six weekends in normal times. Last year, due to the great demand, two C courses were to take place in parallel for the first time, one in Cologne and the other, as usual, in the association’s Marl office. But as is well known, nothing came of it.
In the hope of having overcome the lockdown quickly, the start of the course was initially postponed to January of this year. However, when it became clear that the restrictions had to be accepted for a longer period of time, the regional association decided to offer a replacement via video conference. A proper change for the speakers, who had designed their course content with the subject-specific part as well as rules, sports medicine and sports didactics completely for face-to-face teaching.
In addition to regular participation in the online events, the new coaches had to have completed the association’s trainer assistant course and a first aid course in order to pass the course. “We are happy if we can support our trainers with further qualification“, Says club president Eric Grützenbach. “The association is happy to cover the costs for the training, because for us this is the best investment in the future. “
46 coaches are currently active in the different teams and age groups of the Troisdorf Jets. Most of them have already completed at least one trainer course at the association. The Troisdorf Jets congratulate their three new C-trainers on successfully completing the course and wish them every success in their future work with the athletes.
