Eriksen has been hospitalized since he had a cardiac arrest and collapsed on the pitch during the settlement between Denmark and Finland on Saturday night.
On Monday’s front page of the Italian sports newspaper The Gazetta dello Sport, agent Martin Schoots makes a statement on behalf of the Inter Milan star.
– Thank you very much, I do not give up. I feel better now, but I want to understand what happened, says Eriksen via the agent, who reproduces the Dane’s words from the hospital bed at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen.
– I want to thank everyone for everything you have done for me, it is further stated in the statement.

At the same time, Eriksen’s national team colleagues Kasper Schmeichel and Martin Braithwaite will for the first time answer questions from the press since the dramatic collapse. Monday morning, Schmeichel, Braithwaite and a hitherto unknown player will be available for questions at the Danes’ training field, writes Extra Bladet.
Braithwaite was the first Danish player to broke the silence after Eriksen’s cardiac arrest, when he took to Twitter to describe the dramatic event.
