Take notes! Analog TV Stop Schedule & How to Switch to Digital

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Analog Switch off (ASO) process or migration from analog to digital tv broadcasts will begin immediately. The Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) has set the migration stage from August 17, 2021 to November 2, 2022.

In the first stage, there will be 15 regions with analog broadcasts. Covering five provinces, the regions include:

  1. Aceh (Regency of Aceh Besar, City of Banda Aceh),
  2. Riau Islands (Bintan Regency, Karimun Regency, Batam City, Tj. Pinang City),
  3. Banten (District of Serang, City of Cilegon, City of Serang)
  4. East Kalimantan (District of Kutai Kartanegara, City of Samarinda, City of Bontang),
  5. North Kalimantan (Bulungan District, Tarakan City, Nunukan District).

Director of Broadcasting at the Directorate General of Post and Information Technology, Kominfo Garyantika Kurnia, said that the benefit of digital broadcasting is that the images are cleaner. “The difference is that the images are clean, sophisticated, clear, they can be more interactive,” said Geryantika some time ago.
