Epidemiological report:
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 20,382 analyzes were carried out and 2,999 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.
Of the 2,999 new cases, 1,291 are from Montevideo, 459 from Canelones, 223 from Maldonado, 174 from Paysandú, 159 from Salto, 126 from San José, 81 from Tacuarembó, 79 from Artigas, 73 from Colonia, 65 from Soriano, 46 from Florida, 41 from Lavalleja, 35 from Cerro Largo, 35 from Río Negro, 27 from Durazno, 26 from Rocha, 23 from Rivera, 20 from Treinta y Tres and 16 from Flores.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 2,527,472 tests have been processed and 336,470 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 296,855 have already been recovered.
Today, 50 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (a detailed table is attached). So far, there are 4,956 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.
Currently there are 34,659 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 452 of them are in critical care centers.
Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 8,174 correspond to health personnel. 7,834 of them have already recovered, 315 are suffering from the disease and 25 have died.
As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.
CLARIFICATION:
The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 333,484. Today 2,999 new cases and a total of 336,470 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 13 cases were eliminated.
