The introduction of new restrictive measures depends on the actions of Western countries and organizations, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry warned.

The Belarusian authorities have developed and will take economic, political and military measures in response to new Western sanctions against the republic. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Vladimir Makei in interview TV channel ONT, published on Saturday, June 12.

“We have worked out adequate counter measures in politics, economy and in the military sphere.

According to Makei, Western countries and organizations are trying to show that “a threat to regional and international security comes from Belarus in order to justify any methods of action against it.”

At the same time, the minister claims that Minsk is open to dialogue, but not in the form of ultimatums.

“We must discuss real and concrete possible problems existing between Belarus and this or that country: the prospects of our relations, ways of solving problems,” he specified.

Recall The European Union intends to impose sanctions against 71 citizens and seven companies of Belarus for the forced landing of a Ryanair plane and the detention of journalist Roman Protasevich, despite the promise of Minsk switch to Asian and Russian technologies as a retaliatory step.
