“We will fight for the right of Paraguayans to comprehensive coverage in the treatment against Covid,” said Colorado deputy Raúl Latorre, who was elected president of this new control commission.
The Ministry of Public Health announced this Friday the enabling of a special section within its website, in order to manage the coverage of the laws related to Covid.
The section is called the National Fund for coverage of Hospitalization in Intensive Care Unit and Covid hospitalization.
This is one of the ways to request to benefit from the benefits of the laws. Another way is by email or in person at the Entrance Desk of the Ministry of Health. Those who have already started the procedures through any of these channels, can follow up on the request, through this same section of the web, in the button Consult Request.
The family member, person in charge, Hospital or Private Sanatorium, if applicable, must send a note to the MSPyBS through the entry desk of the General Secretariat or via email to [email protected] with the following information:
Full name and surname of the patient with IC number
– Name of the Hospital or Private Sanatorium in which he is admitted.
– Date and time of admission (must correspond with medical history)
If it is a private insurance with limited coverage, the details of the medical insurance and reinsurance coverage will be included, if applicable.
– Proof of hospitalization with date and time of admission issued by the Hospital or Sanatorium, indicating whether it is ICU or common room.
