Seebach (dpa / lsw) – Thanks to falling corona numbers, the new visitor center in the Black Forest National Park can open its doors to visitors today. Four new regional bus routes have been set up, synchronized with train times at the train stations in the region. Tourists should get to the center as easily as possible. The largely wooden building is located at the Ruhestein pass, a good 900 meters above sea level. In addition to an exhibition, it also offers information on offers such as guided tours or hiking routes.
Manager Ursula Pütz said this week: “We are very relieved that the ups and downs of the last few months should now come to an end.” The National Park Center was ceremoniously handed over last October after a construction period of more than three years – but in the course of the Corona restrictions on a much smaller scale than originally thought. Even now, the operation is restricted due to the hygiene regulations: Initially, only 130 people per day could visit the permanent exhibition – fully vaccinated, recovered or with a negative corona test. A test center should be on site on the weekends.
