More than 200 farmers from the northeast of Burgos They participate in the working days that the Bureba Ebro cooperative develops these days. The meetings, organized in groups of about thirty people, are serving to learn about the tests carried out by the entity in different parts of the region.
The test fields are located in Prádanos de Bureba, Fuentebureba, Quintanilla San García, Briviesca, Quintanaloranco, Bugedo and Belorado, and in them aspects such as the behavior of the different cereal varieties to cryptogamic diseases, commercial wheat and barley varieties, winter and spring herbicides, and rapeseed varieties.
Issues such as narrow leaf and leaf herbicides narrow in wheat, fungicides in wheat and fertilization in the cereal family.
For the manager of Bureba Ebro, Ignacio Santamaría, the objective is to provide added value to the members’ farms through fertilization and phytosanitary treatments, “with continuous monitoring of varieties resistant to different diseases, but without penalizing yields”.

Most of the participants in the meetings are members of the entity, although farmers from La Bureba and its surroundings who work with the cooperative on a regular basis have also attended.
