Flowers, music, a poem and a certificate – Rheinfelden

Alice Dietsche is 100 years old.

(BZ). “100 years: What an event! You will only experience this once,” said Mayor Klaus Eberhardt with delighted jubilee Alice Dietsche, who celebrated her 100th birthday on Monday in the Rheinfelder Bürgerheim. At a small ceremony in the garden, the sprightly senior citizen not only expected colorful balloons and a beautiful cake, but also a few special guests and surprises, announced the city council.

In addition to flowers and congratulations from the city, Eberhardt had a certificate from Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann in his luggage. Home manager Irene Sorg presented a poem by Wilhelm Busch to the jubilee and musician Klaus Böffert undertook a little musical journey through the past 100 years with his guitar and dedicated her own birthday song to the jubilee. “Today I’m going from one surprise to the other,” said Alice Dietsche happily. A rickshaw ride planned as a surprise for the afternoon by the community center team had to be postponed due to the heavy rain.

Born in Saarland in 1921, the jubilee came to Grenzach as a young woman and met her future husband Heinz while dancing in the Oberrheinischer Hof in Rheinfelden, with whom she has two daughters. The senior has lived in the community center since 2013. She is a member of the home advisory board and a passionate Scrabble player.
