Stuttgart – The so-called seven-day incidence of new corona infections in Baden-Württemberg continues to decline – but, unlike in other federal states, only slowly. In the course of the past seven days, the authorities have registered 25.4 infections per 100,000 inhabitants as of Thursday (4:00 p.m.), as the state health department announced. On Wednesday the value was 26.0. According to a list by the Robert Koch Institute, Baden-Württemberg had the highest value among the federal states. The nationwide incidence is 19.3.
34 of 44 urban and rural districts show an incidence below the 35 mark. The value is important for relaxation, for example when visiting outdoor pools, in outdoor dining and at cultural events. Four districts are still over 50. Rottweil has the highest value with 53.6, followed by Pforzheim with 52.4, Tuttlingen with 51.9 and Biberach with 50.2. Currently, only the district of Emmendingen is below 10 with 6.0.
The number of confirmed corona cases since the beginning of the pandemic rose by 428 to 497,645. 14 other people died of or with corona. The number of deaths rose to 10 060. 478 404 people are considered recovered (plus 1115).
