Slovak hockey representative Samuel Kňažko signed a three-year rookie contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The “Blue Coats” was chosen in the 2020 draft from 78th place. The club informed about the contract on the official website.
The eighteen-year-old defender has worked in the youth teams of the Finnish club TPS Turku for the past three seasons.
Kňažko was one of two drafted Slovaks in 2020, the other was Martin Chromiak, who was chosen from 128th place by the Los Angeles Kings club.
He has completed two championships for players under 18 and 20. He also started at the recently concluded World Championships in Riga, where he played all eight matches.
