AMD does not optimize FidelityFX for Nvidia, which must take care of it itself

In recent weeks, there has been talk of super-resolution technology from AMD, which is to compete with the proprietary Nvidia DLSS solution. Unlike it, however, it does not use artificial intelligence, motion vectors or auxiliary buffers with data from previous images. This technology is called FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) is open-source, it can run with DirectX 11, 12 and Vulkan interfaces, thanks to which it could also work on competing Nvidia GeForce graphics cards.

However, Scott Herkelman, vice president of the Radeon division, said on Twitter that AMD itself would not optimize the technology for Nvidia cards, and if Nvidia wanted to take full advantage of the technology and offer it to its customers, it would have to take care of it itself. At the launch, they only showed that it works on Nvidí.
