The Instant Message mode targets people who are careful about privacy and do not want their conversations on WhatsApp to be stored. New web feature WABetaInfo.com confirmed the founder and head of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg and the CEO of WhatsApp Will Cathcart.
The mode will be optional. It is up to each user whether to turn it on or not want to use it. If it decides to turn it on, the messages will be deleted after the first read. In practice, it will look like, for example, send someone a photo, he will display it and for the second time he will not have the opportunity. The message simply disappears from the chat.
This feature is currently under development and will be available in an updated version of WhatsApp for Android and iOS. The planned novelty is not a turning point in the world of chat applications. As the website svetandroida.cz reminds us, Snapchat once introduced this function.
It also draws attention to the problem of the upcoming mode, namely the ability to take screenshots. If the user does not want the messages to remain in the chat, it is not in his interest that the person, on the other hand, can “take evidence” in the form of screenshots. Snapchat blocked this option immediately after running the function, so it is possible that WhatsApp will behave similarly.
In January, WhatsApp came up with new terms. See what you must agree to when using this application:
