The eloquence contest is a great way to build self-confidence in students. This year, due to the health context, the terms of the academic competition have been changed. Pupils from establishments in Moselle-Est took it in turn on June 7 and 8 to the Maison des associations (MDA) in Behren-lès-Forbach.
Students from Nancy, as well as a member of the eloquence steering committee were waiting for them to film the tests. Over two days, the classes followed one another at the MDA but did not intersect, in order to respect the health protocol. Students cannot perform on stage in front of a real audience, but it is important for everyone to be able to finalize the work of the year and to highlight the efforts and progress of the students.

A “proof of perseverance”
The five participating colleges from Behren-lès-Forbach, Puttelange-aux-Lacs, Stiring-Wendel, Petite-Rosselle and Wiesberg presented their four performances on stage. No academic final this year, but winners by department. “The students are delighted to be able to present their tests. They worked hard throughout the year and showed perseverance despite the particular context, ”says Fabienne d’Angelo, referent professor of the Behren network involved in the project. “They have made good progress and these mornings are the end of a year of work and the culmination of a common project. “
Soon, college students will be invited to watch videos from other classes and will have to vote for their favorite videos. The departmental jury will meet at the end of June and will be offered a viewing for each test, oral reading, argumentation test, modern language or improvisation the two videos selected by the college students.
