How to make people aware of biodiversity? it is a challenge taken up by the municipality of Lamentin since Monday June 7, 2021. Main target: the young generations in the schools of the city. Take an interest in nature and all that makes it live forever if you respect it.

Rich in its biodiversity, Martinique was also a source of inspiration for the poet, novelist and philosopher Edouard Glissant.
Today, the city of Lamentin is working to transmit this natural wealth and to apply this famous thought of Edouard Glissant “Act in your place and think with the world”.
Knowing the colors of nature, its sounds … digging out its traces … to touch the universal. A piece of the history of the island of flowers that has been passed down from generation to generation.
To honor and understand it, the City of Lamentin launched its biodiversity caravan yesterday (Monday, June 7, 2021) for an initiation route to biodiversity.
After the presentation of the IBR (Rapid Biological Inventory) book of the Cohé du Lamentin mangrove in Génipa bay on May 28, this is the new action carried out by the City of Lamentin on the theme of discovery and preservation of biodiversity.

It is also a question of biodiversity through tales: texts are read by the media library staff.
The biodiversity caravan also includes photo exhibitions in the public space from June 7 to 30 in order to discover the biodiversity of Martinique in pictures:
+ in Bas-Mission, outdoors on the fence of the headquarters of the Office of Culture on marine biodiversity
+ at Petit-Manoir, outdoors on the fence of the Municipal Technical Services on wildlife
+ at the media library, rue Hardy de Saint-Omer, on cooperation and the IBR (Rapid Biological Inventory) of the mangrove from Cohé du Lamentin in Génipa bay
