Representatives of the organization are suspected of distributing propaganda materials “aimed at changing the borders of the territory or the state border of Ukraine.”
The SBU announced that it was conducting searches of the founders of the Sharia Party public organization.
As reported on website departments on Tuesday, June 8, searches were carried out due to the distribution in the capital region of campaign materials “aimed at changing the borders of the territory or the state border of Ukraine and in violation of the order established by the Constitution of Ukraine.”
Searches were carried out at the addresses of residence of two persons involved in the case: in the capital and in the Buchansky district of the Kiev region.
“During the procedural actions, law enforcement officers seized computer equipment, mobile terminals that were used in illegal activities, the seal of the Party of Sharia and bank cards,” the message says.
In addition, searches were carried out in a printing house located in Vinnitsa, “where representatives of a public organization printed products of an anti-constitutional nature.”
Recall SBU suspects Anatoly Sharia – a party leader who is not a member of the party – in treason and inciting interethnic and interfaith conflicts.
Recently SBU put Sharia on the state wanted listdespite the fact that he has been living abroad for almost ten years. At the same time, earlier the SBU itself submitted a notification to the CEC that Shariy had not lived in Ukraine for a long time.
