The last few years have Princess Madeleine (38) and her husband Chris O’Neill (46) had to celebrate Sweden’s national day on June 6 at a distance – from Florida in the USA – where they keep house with the three children Leonore (7), Nicolas (5) and Adrienne (3).
The corona pandemic is of course the reason why the family has not been able to take part in the traditional national day celebration in their home country. The last time “Madde” and the rest of the family participated in the celebration was in 2019.
However, the princess family has created its own traditions abroad. Like last year, on National Day this year, Madeleine shared a nice picture of the three children with Swedish flags in their hands.
“Happy National Day to the finest Sweden”, writes Princess Madeleine under the picture of the three small children.

Traveling to Sweden
Back home in Sweden, the rest of the Swedish royal family celebrated the day in different ways because of the corona. Early last week, it was announced that Prince Carl Philip (42) and Princess Sofia (36) would not participate in the official celebration due to the pandemic.
They followed the festivities from home.
Thus, only the royal couple and the crown princess couple were to be seen on the big day. Crown Princess Victoria (43) and Prince Daniel (47) was at Skansen, among other places. The king, for his part, gave a speech from the castle in Stockholm with Queen Silvia (77) by his side.

The Crown Princess family also marked National Day by sharing new family photos on social media. In the pictures, Daniel and Victoria were depicted with the children Princess Estelle (9) and Prince Oscar (5).
In the photos, mother and daughter wore traditional Swedish folk costumes, while Daniel and son matched each other in suits.
