N’Golo Kante insists he feels good at Chelsea FC and doesn’t want to leave anytime soon
N’Golo Kante has insisted he feels good at Chelsea FC and has no plans to leave Stamford Bridge.
The starting midfielder has received a lot of praise for his performance for the Blues in recent weeks after helping the South West London side achieve Champions League glory this season.
Kante is widely regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders in world football and his performances helped the Blues to the top four in the Premier League last season.
The 30-year-old’s current contract at Stamford Bridge is set to expire in the summer of 2023 and recent reports suggest the Blues want to tie him to a new deal.
Kante has now underlined his commitment to Chelsea FC and has said he has no plans to leave the South West London club.
Speaking at a press conference while on international duty with France, Kante said: “I have been at Chelsea for five years, have had wonderful seasons. I hope to discover many more.
“It’s not something I focus on. I still have two years of contract with Chelsea and I feel good.
Kante made three assists in 49 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea FC last season as he won the Champions League and finished in fourth place in the Premier League.
The midfielder couldn’t stop the Blues from sliding to a 1-0 loss to former club Leicester City in the FA Cup final last month.
