At the end of last week, we informed you that probably in March, those interested could have been willing to pay $ 10,000 gain access to stolen data from CD Projekt. The HelloKitty hacking group has released the source code for several of the company’s games, including Sorcerer 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, along with data on RedEngin and other sensitive materials. Most likely, an internal video was also included, capturing a myriad of bugs and glitches from various stages of the development of Cyberpunk 2077, but which fans must not be like those who are in a completely different situation. boasted CD Project for example at Sorcerers 3.
The video was to appear for the first time on the infamous 4Chan, from where it spread very quickly to other discussion portals. Clearly, the leak is summarized at Income, although the links to individual videos cease to be functional in connection with the interventions of the CD Project. The longest video is to be called Cyber ElBuggado 2020 – although this information cannot be confirmed with certainty – and according to the original leak, the game is to be captured a few months before its release. The fact remains that the video is not only edited from individual errors so that it can be considered part of the work of the testing department, but is edited and supplemented with various links to other broken games and banners. On the other hand, it doesn’t seem like it’s just a fan compilation, given the large number of footage from the editors and the development environment, so it probably comes from the CD Project.
It was to be expected that if the launch went smoothly and the game was free of similar errors, the developers would allow players to look behind the scenes with a smile and introduce them to how difficult it is to put a video game together.
Enumerate everything ElBuggado captures is useless if you played Cyberpunk 2077 yourself shortly after the release. The mistakes concern animations, collisions, textures, driving model, physics in general and the functioning of the world, and after all similar compilations from fans, they don’t even look funny anymore. At the same time, one would expect that if the launch went smoothly and the game was free of similar errors, the developers would allow players to look behind the scenes with a smile and introduce them to how difficult it is to put a video game together. After all, they would not be the only ones who have done so in the past, as was the case, for example, during the PAX WEST 2017 conference, when the CD Projekt officially shared the assembly of glitches from The Sorcerer 3.
However, the case of Cyberpunk 2077 is quite different, and if the authenticity of the shots is proven, they can serve as a weapon for investors who have chosen CD Project Sue. It would be proof that the game was not really in good technical condition for some time before the release, despite the fact that the company’s management downplayed the problems and, according to a group of investors, deceived customers, on whom it enriched itself unjustifiably. On the other hand, the fact that in many shots the game is in a very unfinished phase, not in the form of a corresponding several months before the release, and so it would be premature to draw any bad conclusions from it. It’s clear to everyone that such bugs are part of any game project, and developers often make similar videos just to laugh while assessing the path they’ve taken.
