BARCELONA – Yamaha Monster Energy Team Racers, Fabio Quartararo, alluded back to Suzuki Ecstar Team rider Joan Mir, over the chest protection controversy in MotoGP Catalunya 2021. Quartararo mentions Mir showing his original character after complaining that he was given additional punishment.
As is known, a reckless action was carried out by Quartararo when paving at the 2021 Catalunya MotoGP. In the race that took place at the Barcelona Circuit, Quartararo did experience a problem with the zipper of his racing shirt.
Even Quartararo also underwent the rest of the 2021 Catalunya MotoGP race with his racing suit open. It didn’t stop there, Quartararo was also seen deliberately throwing away his chest protector during the 2021 Catalunya MotoGP race.
Because of this, Quartararo was finally punished by the FIM Stewards. Quartararo, who finished third in the 2021 Catalunya MotoGP, had to accept the fact that he was back three seconds, until he had to be willing to finish fourth.
Quartararo’s punishment was increased when the Ducati and Suzuki Teams protested against the FIM Stewards, for not giving him a sanction for deliberately removing the chest protector.
