Two boats intercepted in Águilas and Cartagena with 43 immigrants on board, including two babies | Radio Murcia

The civil Guard has intercepted two boats with a total of 43 Algerian immigrants on board, who have been transferred in good health to the Escombreras dock in Cartagena to be treated by the Red Cross and, later, be placed at the disposal of the National Police.

Sources of the Government Delegation have indicated that the first boat has been sighted at around 7 am in the Cabo Cope beach in Águilas, with 23 men on board, who were transferred to Escombreras, where they arrived at around 11:30 am.

The second patera was intercepted at 8.30 am in Cala Dorada in Cartagena, and in it were 20 irregular immigrants of Algerian nationality, including 17 a woman and two babies.

All immigrants have been transferred to the Escombreras dock to start the care and surveillance device following the Covid protocol.
