Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry have a daughter – VG

The daughter is named Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, and is named after her great-grandmother and grandmother.

Lili was born on Friday, June 4, at 11:40 a.m. at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in the coastal city of Santa Barbara, California, according to an official statement, writes BBC.

The little girl weighed 7.11 pounds, which equates to about 3487 grams.

Mother and child are fine, says a spokesperson for Variety. They are back in their home in Santa Barbara.

The duke and the duchess enjoy time as a family, the spokesperson writes in the statement.

“Lili” is named after great-grandmother, Her Majesty the Queen.

Her middle name, Diana, has been chosen to honor her late grandmother, the Princess of Wales.

– The duke and duchess thank for good wishes and prayers while enjoying this special time as a family, writes a representative of the couple.

Lili is Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry’s second child. In 2019, Meghan gave birth to son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle married in St. George’s Chapel in Windsor in May 2018.

Queen Elisabeth expresses joy over the news of the latest great-grandchild in a statement from the British Royal Family, writes The Mirror.

“The Queen, Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have all been informed and are delighted with the news of the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s daughter,” said a Buckingham Palace spokesman.
