A stunning dual-screen iPhone concept

The ConceptsiPhone YouTube channel has just shared, once again, a three-dimensional mockup of what it imagines for a future model of Apple smartphone. Here, we are thus entitled to a product in several colors including green and blue, while the notch at the front seems for its part to have been left out. Or simply reduced, as other rumors suggest about the real device coming this time around.

But what we notice above all is in fact the second display of this iPhone 14. Installed on the back of the mobile, it – which looks very tactile – is able to display several information such as direction indications to find its AirTag. There is also a summary of the indications of the remaining quantity concerning the battery of the AirPods wireless headphones and the Apple Watch. Which would be, it must be said, very practical whereas Cupertino continues to work internally on the subject.

Pay attention to breakage

If the advantage of a second screen is undeniable, it is nonetheless extremely expensive. On the one hand to manufacturing, since this would require the manufacturer to order more components while the one requested here is already one of the most expensive on the iPhone. Indeed, according to asian media Nikkei, the Retina panel of the iPhone 12 from Samsung factories would in fact cost around seventy dollars, against ninety for its Qualcomm modem.

Suffice to say that it should not therefore be broken, especially since the means available to be entitled to repair in store are often colossal. At best, it would therefore be necessary to pay the price of AppleCare + insurance or choose a protective shell. But obviously, it should then be transparent and thin enough for haptic feedback and Force Touch.

New layout for the photo module

Finally, let’s also add that the concept here has moved the various sensors installed on the back of the iPhone, while shifting the Apple logo downwards. LiDAR thus seems much more compact, while a fourth sensor would allow better quality images to be taken. As for the dual LED lighting, it has disappeared, probably to make way for the Retina Flash.
