Liputan6.com, Jakarta Until now, there are still many smokers who believe that e-cigarettes can help stop smoking. But in fact, there is no evidence that e-cigarette products can help quit smoking.
As stated by the Chairman of the Indonesian Lung Doctors Association (KPDPI), dr. Agus Dwi Susanto that this was published by the World Health Organization (WHO) at the 2014 WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control Conference.
“There is not enough evidence to state that electric cigarettes can help a person to quit smoking,” said Dr. Agus in the Electronic Cigarette Claim Webinar to Quit Smoking, Saturday (5/6/2021).
In its report, WHO has looked at data on the efficacy, safety and effectiveness of electronic cigarettes in replacing conventional cigarettes. “No one in the world agrees that e-cigarettes are safe.”
