Many people own a car at some point in their lives and then you are affected by this week’s podcast theme, namely how to sell your car.
Car sales have been very active so far this year and 207,411 changes of ownership were completed at the end of May. It is 12 percent higher than at the same time last year, according to recent figures from the Road Traffic Information Council (OFV).
Listen to this week’s episode – “How to sell your car”:
Despite the upswing, May was a quiet month with 43,481 changes of ownership, a decrease of 5.1 percent compared with last year.
There are several ways you can sell the car, including through a dealer, private, auction, commission or online dealer. The podcast guys give their experiences and advice in this week’s episode.
Sell yourself most profitably
Selling through a retailer, an online player or exchanging will very often be more expensive than selling yourself. By selling the car privately, you are left with the entire purchase price yourself, but then you have to endure the buyer coming directly to you with all the questions and critical glances.
– Be aware that private sales can take some time. Some people lose their minds completely when the car is to be sold and put it at what it was worth when it was almost new, says car expert and podcast host Marius Mørch Larsen.
– Number one bid is to be patient, follows Finansavisen’s Motor journalist and co-host of Mile after Mile, Håkon Sæbø.
Mørch Larsen and Sæbø also point to new mats, good pictures and several other tricks to make car sales easier in this week’s episode.
