iPhone: 9 out of 10 have iOS 14
The data most recent, obtained on the 3rd of this month, reveal that in the case of the iPhone and iOS, the installation of version 14 has already reached the very interesting threshold of 90%. This value is associated with equipment that reached the market in the last 4 years.
In the global scenario, of all the equipment that is still functional, this value drops slightly, reaching 85%. Interestingly, this descent is made at the expense of models with older versions. iOS 13 keeps the 8% it has in the previous table.
Equal numbers on Apple iPad and iPadOS
With regard to iPad and iPadOS, the numbers are very close, being even higher in absolute terms. In equipment with up to 4 years, this value is now 91%, leaving the iPadOS 13 with 8% and only 1% in previous versions.
When the data is viewed for every iPad ever released, the value decreases a bit, standing at 79% install for the latest version. The numbers follow with 9% for iPadOS 13 and 12% for previous versions, which reveals a long useful life of the iPad.
The previous figures were from February and revealed that iOS 14 was on 86% of the iPhone under 4 years old and 80% on all Apple smartphones. This growth is important and shows that the arrival of iOS 14.5 gave a new lease of life to this system and its installation on the iPhone.
