After the Vaccine Advisory Committee as recommended, the Ministry of Health confirmed that, according to the availability of immunizing stages of vaccination in municipalities with a population less than or equal to 10,000 population, starting with headwaters and populated centers.
“This means that will vaccinate entire populations of the municipalities that are located especially on the border with Ecuador and that they have a population less than or equal to 10,000 inhabitants. This model will also be applied in the territories not corresponding to the Amazonian cordon ”, said the minister of health, Fernando Ruíz.
The minister said that this will also be done in seven departments with special conditions, that is, in municipalities del Cauca, Nariño, Chocó, the region of Catatumbo in Norte de Santander, Sucre, Buenaventura, Saint Andrew, where progress is already being made in the process and Uribia in La Guajira.
Ruíz stressed that, for this process will be taken into account, the vaccination of Janssen, of which the country acquired 9 million, since being from a single dose, will help to solve dispersion problems.
