NSDC sanctions may be imposed against people’s deputies and Russian artists – media

On Friday, June 4, the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) held a new meeting. It considered 8 issues, including strengthening cooperation with NATO, strengthening the border with Crimea, evicting officials from state dachas and fighting the oligarchs. There were no “sensations” announced by the media about sanctions against MPs and Russian artists.

Key statements following the NSDC meeting:

  • Protection of administrative borders with the occupied Crimea. At the end of April, Zelensky ordered to conduct an inspection on the provision and condition of the military who serve in the Kherson region – on the border with the Russian-occupied Crimea.

  • Deepening Ukraine’s integration into NATO. The NSDC decided that urgent measures should be taken to integrate Ukraine into the North Atlantic Treaty. As noted by Danilov, the issue was considered in the “secret” mode and all relevant decisions were taken.
