Twitter recently launched the Fleets, stories that work exactly the same as those of Instagram and that is having quite successful with the general public. The ads they plan to implement now are the first time that Twitter has experimented with the variety of full-screen and vertical ads, some totally unpublished but that other apps like Instagram or Snapchat have been doing.

Twitter will be responsible for charging these ads for brands that users usually see also on Instagram or on other platforms. “Ads on Fleets are a space for brands to get creative – go behind the scenes, create an interesting take with the account, or share one hot take

For starters, the new ads are available only to a few advertisers and will be visible for a small group of Twitter users. But the company has promised that if the experiment works well, it will soon introduce the full-screen ad format to the rest of the world. What’s more, they consider that “We want to add this content not only for the Fleets, but for future versions of full-screen formats on Twitter.”
