Research reveals that in the last 50 years, the earth is spinning faster in 2021.

HAI-Online.com – A surprising discovery was made by a number of researchers in 2020 who said The Earth began to spin faster—which resulted in shorter days.
At least, the Earth’s rotation is faster now than at any time in the last 50 years. According to records over the past 50 years, the fastest or shortest 28-day record occurred in 2020.
This is because the Earth completes its rotation around its axis a few milliseconds faster than average.

What causes the Earth to spin faster?
Reported from BBC Science Focus Magazine, Tuesday (1/6/2021), until now, scientists are not entirely sure what causes the increase in the Earth’s rotation rate which has an impact on the length of the day.
Variations in day length are caused by several factors, including tidal effects of the Moon and Sun, the core-mantle junction within Earth, and the distribution of overall mass on Earth.
Seismic activity, glaciation, weather, oceans, and the Earth’s magnetic field can also affect the length of the day.
However, some experts suggest that the acceleration of Earth’s rotation in 2021 may be due to melting glaciers during the 20th century, or the accumulation of large amounts of water in northern hemisphere reservoirs.
Although the Earth is spinning faster now, experts predict that this acceleration is only temporary and the Earth will begin to slow down again in the future.
