Vinningen and Kröppen (ots)

On Tuesday, there were several thefts from and from cars in Kröppen and Vinningen, as well as two break-ins in garden houses. Since the offenses are all likely to be related, the time of the offense could be limited to the period between 00:30 and 07:00. In Kröppen, a white BMW 325d was completely stolen from a company premises in Hauptstrasse. The amount of damage is around 8,000 euros.

In Vinningen, three cars were approached on Pirmasenser Strasse alone. All cars were probably unlocked here. A black suitcase with a “DeWalt” cordless screwdriver was stolen from an Opel Zafira in a courtyard entrance from the footwell on the passenger side. The coins (around 15 euros) were stolen from the center console of a Fiat Punto, which was also parked in a courtyard entrance, and the glove compartment was ransacked. The passenger door was still open that morning. Coins (around 3 euros) were also stolen from the center console of an Opel Corsa parked on the side of the road.

The rear side window of an Opel Astra parked in a courtyard entrance on Kirchgartenstrasse was pried open. Here, only an empty women’s handbag was stolen from the rear footwell.

A sheet metal garden shed was also broken into in Kirchgartenstrasse. Here the perpetrators stole a “Cannondale” mountain bike and a “Haibike” pedelec with a total value of around 6,000 euros.

The perpetrators also pried open the front door of a former holiday home in the “Alte Gasse”, which is now used as a storage shed. Two mountain bikes were stolen here, a red “Specialized” and a red “Rotwild” with a total value of 5000 euros.

Since the perpetrators must have been in the two locations for a longer period of time and had to have sufficient transport capacity, the police are hoping for witnesses. The perpetrators are believed to have temporarily carried a black sports bag that was left behind at a crime scene. A bicycle that had previously been stolen nearby was also left behind at a crime scene. This could indicate that the perpetrators felt disturbed.

The perpetrators may also have been photographed by surveillance cameras.
