The Longueuil Agglomeration Police Department (SPAL) believes that Xavier Denis, a 23-year-old man from Longueuil, was seeking contact with boys under the age of 16. To do this, he used various social media, including Facebook, TikTok, and Snapchat, as well as video games such as Fortnite.
Xavier Denis, alias Hebou22 on Snapchat, remains detained until his release investigation which has been set for next Monday, June 7.
In this case, the serial crime investigation management structure (GECS), coordinated by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), was deployed. This is a structure within which Quebec police services work in partnership to quickly identify crimes committed by predators.
By reporting the arrest of Xavier Denis, the SPAL asks parents to check their children’s exchanges on social media and invites victims or young people who have had one or more conversations online with Xavier Denis to contact the police.
