SpaceX Launches Dragon Spaceship, Here’s the Contents : Okezone techno

SpaceX this time carrying out a mission to the International Space Station (ISS). The mission is part of NASA’s second Commercial Supply Services (CRS-22) contract.

As reported by the Tasmanian, the spaceship Dragon SpaceX’s holds about 7,300 pounds of cargo. It contains essential material that will directly support more than 250 scientific and research investigations during Expedition 65 and Expedition 66.

Inside the unpressurized trunk of the Dragon spacecraft, there are three pairs of devices to increase the Space Station’s power capacity.

While some of the cargo in the pressurized cabin inside the Dragon includes sensitive science materials and equipment for conducting scientific research, supplies needed for cabin crew, and even small creatures that will travel to outer space.

The creatures taken into space include tardigrades aka water bears and bobtail squid, which are important for scientific research.

Tardigrades will be used to study how these creatures can survive in extreme conditions. It provides insight into how Tardigrades adapt to harsh and harsh environments. Enables scientists to gain insight into what affects human biology in space and how animals and humans can adapt in space.

The bobtail squid is part of a research project that will examine the effects of space travel on the molecular and chemical interactions between beneficial microbes and their animal hosts.

The Falcon 9 and Dragon spacecraft are ready to take off on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from the launch pad at Pad-39A. The unmanned spacecraft will operate independently.

Dragon is also scheduled to arrive at the ISS on Saturday, June 5 and dock to the Space Station’s Harmony module at 5:00 AM.

NASA astronauts Megan McArthur and Shane Kimbrough prepare for the arrival of the Dragon spacecraft. They would monitor the Dragon and make sure it approached the station safely.
