Suara.com – The Israeli Ministry of Health has announced a possible link between Pfizer vaccine with heart inflammation or myocarditis among men ages 16 to 30.
Three teams of experts have investigated the potential link to cases of myocarditis and submitted their findings to the ministry. The results of this investigation involved 275 cases of myocarditis reported from December 2020 to May 2021, of which 148 cases occurred around the time of vaccination.
About 27 cases of myocarditis appeared after the first injection Covid-19 vaccine. Meanwhile, 121 cases of myocarditis occurred after the second injection of the Covid-19 vaccine was given.
Nearly all cases were mild and most occurred in young men aged 16 to 19 after the second injection of the Covid-19 vaccine. This condition usually also requires hospitalization for 4 days.

“There are several possible associations between the second injection of the Covid-19 vaccine and myocarditis among young men aged 16 to 30 years,” the health ministry said in a statement. Fox News.
They said this relationship was found to be stronger among the younger age group, ie 16 to 19 years compared to other age groups.
They concluded that this incidence becomes weaker as the person who injects the Covid-19 vaccine gets older. In most cases, myocarditis is a mild form of the disease that spreads over a short period of time.
Even so, the Israeli government continued to set up a task force to expand vaccination to teenagers after the report. The ministry committee also continues to approve vaccinations for teenagers.
“The committee gave the go-ahead to vaccinate children aged 12 to 15, and possibly starting next week,” Nachman Ash, Israel’s pandemic response coordinator.
