According to Delgadillo, when the Bulo Bulo urea and ammonia plant enters the production stage, 102 demonstration plots will be implemented, distributed over 40 hectares in the nine departments of the country.
The plots will demonstrate to national producers the benefits and advantages of using urea as a fertilizer in corn, rice, sorghum, sugar cane, wheat, sunflower, fruits, vegetables and pastures.
For his part, the professional agronomist from the Derivative and Industrialized Products Management, José Luis Domínguez, highlighted that “these activities are planned in coordination with institutional and productive partners, such as the National Sugar Cane Center (Cenaca) dependent on the Institute National Agricultural and Forestry Innovation (Iniaf); and the Strategic Company for the Production of Fertilizers and Fertilizers (EEPAF).
He also mentioned the participation of universities, research centers, producer organizations such as the Unión de Cañeros Aguaí, the Unión Agroindustrial de Cañeros – Unagro and Guabirá; producer associations such as the National Association of Oilseed Producers (ANAPO) and the union federations of different regions, among others.
Finally, Domínguez mentioned that YPFB’s technical team develops virtual technical training activities aimed at university students and producers on issues related to good crop nutrition and good urea fertilization practices.
To date, more than 600 participants from the Integrated North and Portachuelo agricultural technological institutes, in the department of Santa Cruz, as well as students from the Bolivian Evangelical University and various producers in general, have already been trained.
