Everything you need to know to have Galar’s Slowpoke and Mega-Slowbro

Niantic has presented the next event of Pokémon GO, called A discovery in slow motion where the protagonist will be Slowpoke along with his variant Slowpoke de Galar, as well as Mega-Slowbro Y Slowbro de Galar. The event, which will start next Tuesday, June 8 at 10:00 and will end on Sunday, June 13 at 8:00 p.m. (local time), it will mark the debut of Galar’s Slowpoke, which will evolve into Galar’s Slowbro by catching 30 Poison-type Pokémon when it is a companion.

This new event will also feature Mega-Slowbro for the first time in Pokémon GO through mega raids, which in turn will feature exclusive field research tasks that will reward Slowbro Mega Energy. Alolan Grimer, Shellder, Shinx, and Timburr will appear in one-star raids. Snorlax, Slowking, Slaking, and Toxicroak will appear in three-star raids. In the wild, Slakoth, Gulpin, Spoink and many more like Slowbro or Vigoroth will appear.

Among the rest of the news, Pokémon GO will give away a camiseta Slowkpoke Forever exclusive to the avatar, 30 Ultra Balls and 3000 XP to those who complete a collection challenge dedicated to Slowpoke during the event. The in-game store will feature more items, as well as an event-exclusive free pack with 20 Poké Balls, 10 Super Balls, and a Pride Rock.
