Voting for them will allow them to join a collective. This is the argument carried by the candidates of right and left on the canton of Gagny (Seine-Saint-Denis), which integrates the commune of Neuilly-sur-Marne, in the departmental elections of June 20 and 27. On the right, Rolin Cranoly, mayor (LR) of Gagny since August 2019, who is embarking on a partnership with the outgoing departmental councilor Marie-Blanche Pietri (LR), thus justifies his candidacy: “We decided that there was a real consistency in that the mayor is a candidate to have the support of the department on certain themes, such as the prevention of delinquency and radicalization. “
This symbiosis between the city and the department would make it possible, according to him, to defend local subjects, such as securing colleges – “We could put cameras, as we do in the city, near schools” – or strengthening childcare, by developing homes for childminders and restoring city subsidies for early childhood structures.
On the left, it is with the departmental majority that the former deputy (PS) Elisabeth Pochon wants to enter into symbiosis. “It is important that this canton comes into the majority. There was no collective work. These cities are folded in on themselves, they are behind on the issue of soft mobility, ”considers the former senior education advisor of a college in Gagny.
The transformation of the ex-N34 divides the candidates
“Mr. Cranoly is for the all-car, tackle Yannick Trigance (PS), in tandem (Union of the left and environmentalists) with Elisabeth Pochon. On the subject of the former N34 *, I would like him to understand that the number of car lanes should not be increased. A caricature, estimates the mayor of Gagny. “I say that we must establish a traffic plan to avoid deportations in the surrounding residential districts”, replies Rolin Cranoly.
This vast project also has the support of candidates (LFI) Arnaud Bazillais and Marie-Paule Offredo. “We must increase the capacity of public transport and stop the all-car”, considers the first, which places “the establishment of an RSA for under 25 years” and “the opening of departmental health centers” as priorities.
* IDF Mobilités, the State and the departments concerned are carrying out a bus project on their own site, going from Fontenay-sous-Bois (Val-de-Marne) to Chelles (Seine-et-Marne), and which passes through the canton .
