Viral circulation continues to slow down in the Meuse. The incidence rate is in free fall, now close to 60, just above the very first epidemic alert threshold, while it exceeded 300 in early November, mid-December and late March.
The Meuse thus becomes the 4th department least affected by the circulation of the virus, just after Aube (50), Meurthe-et-Moselle (61), and Moselle (66). The test positivity rate is also down to 2.8%. A rate that even falls to 2.2% among those over 65.
Mass vaccination is now confirmed with more than 41% of Meusiens having received at least one dose of vaccine. 32 people are still hospitalized in the Meuse, and the intensive care services only register two patients. 380 people have died from Covid in hospitals.
