The TVA Sports channel unveiled on Tuesday several details relating to its coverage of Euro 2020, presented this year after being postponed due to the pandemic, of which it will present all the matches from June 11 to July 11.
The official French-speaking broadcaster of the competition, the network will offer matches featuring the 24 best national men’s soccer teams in Europe. The kick-off will also be on Friday 11 June at 2:30 p.m. with the opening match between Turkey and Italy. Fans of “football” will be able to follow the prowess of the best players in the world, in particular: the five-time Golden Ball, Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal, Kylian Mbappé and the French Blues, Eden Hazard and Belgium or Harry Kane and the England. CF Montreal fans will also be able to follow the course of midfielder Lassi Lappalainen, who was selected by the Finnish national team. They will also be able to watch Thierry Henry, former coach of the Montreal Impact, who will return to the staff of the Diables Rouges (Belgium) team.

Throughout the Euro, TVA Sports will be able to count on a most complete team. Andy Mailly-Pressoir, tournament manager, will be hosting the pre-matches, halves and highlights shows. In order to give a voice to fans, the TVA Sports team has set up an interactive bus shelter in the colors of the Euro, located at the entrance to the Botanical Garden at the corner of Sherbrooke and Pie-IX streets. Starting June 10, fans are invited to vote for their favorite team. In the bus shelter, fans will be able to select their nation with their feet using the selection balls provided for this purpose, while respecting sanitary measures. Once the team has been selected, the national anthem of the chosen country will be heard and the ceiling will light up in the colors of the flag. After each selection, the bus shelter will take on the colors of the team that received the most votes, until the next vote in the bus shelter.
