While eager fans lined up at the hairdresser to get the so-called “Rachel Green” weld, actress Jennifer Aniston (52) has previously admitted that she would rather have been without it.
She has in fact stated that she hated the hairstyle for which she became world famous in the 90s in «Friends».
However, this did not stop the fans, who would rather resemble as much as possible the now 52-year-old Aniston. Among them was also the world-famous artist Mariah Carey (51), who last week gave her followers a solid look back on Instagram.
“A sad attempt at the Rachel weld”, she writes on Instagram for a picture of herself on stage, with what should be the same hairstyle as the “Friends” star had in the first seasons.
At the time of writing, the flashback has received almost 160,000 likes. Among them the hairdresser, Chris McMillan, who gave Aniston the iconic weld, and also from “Rachel Green” herself.
Jennifer Aniston has left a comment below the picture, which has now attracted international attention.
“Love it,” writes Aniston, followed by a flame emoji.

The hairdresser was tall
In other words, it may seem that the 52-year-old actually likes the weld, just not on himself.
– When I first met my hairdresser, Chris McMillan, in his salon in Los Angeles, he gave me a fantastic clip. A month later, he gave me what became known through “Friends” as “The Rachel”, Aniston said in an interview with The Telegraph.
The famous welder demanded that the actor go to the hairdresser every six weeks to keep it the same.
– It was real shit, to be honest. Maybe one of the hardest hairstyles to maintain unless Chris did it for me, she continued.
That Aniston ended up with the much talked about hair weave may not have been the plan in the first place. In 2013, Chris McMillan, who still works closely with the 52-year-old, revealed that he was tall when he cut her hair.
– I have been sober for 14 years, so I feel safe enough to be able to say it now, the hairdresser told Women’s Wear Daily eight years ago.

Tribute to the hairdresser
The duo have worked closely together since Aniston’s career first gained momentum, and the two are constantly being photographed together. McMillan also has a number of other celebrities on the customer list, and in 2018 the 52-year-old awarded the award “Hairstylist of the year” to McMillan during the InStyle Awards.
Here, too, it became clear how much he means and has meant to her.
– I’m here tonight to talk about my boyfriend, my brother from another mother, my husband who does not want to marry me because he is gay, she said with a laugh from the scene, according to InStyle, and continued:

– I only have a few things to say about you. You are one of the most passionate and kind people I have been fortunate enough to meet, and who I get to call family. I feel blessed every single day because of it.
