Situation report on coronavirus COVID-19 in Uruguay (05/30/2021)

Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 16,377 analyzes were carried out and 3,329 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.

Of the 3,329 new cases, 1,575 are from Montevideo, 502 from Canelones, 191 from Maldonado, 172 from Paysandú, 142 from Salto, 121 from Tacuarembó, 96 from San José, 93 from Colonia, 72 from Soriano, 59 from Río Negro, 45 from Florida, 42 from Rivera, 41 from Lavalleja, 37 from Artigas, 34 from Cerro Largo, 32 from Flores, 29 from Rocha, 26 from Treinta y Tres and 20 from Durazno.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 2,248,766 tests have been processed and 291,488 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 250,049 have already been recovered.

Today 37 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (table with detail is attached). So far, there are 4,213 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 37,226 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 548 of them are in critical care centers.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 7,745 correspond to health personnel. 7,310 of them have already recovered, 415 are suffering from the disease and 20 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:

The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 288,172. Today 3,329 new cases and a total of 291,488 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 13 cases were eliminated.
