They are back !
May 28 is out Hi, 10th studio album by Scottish rock band Texas. It happens four years later Jump On Board and presents its title track in two forms, the first including a participation of the American rap group Wu-Tang Clan.
Texas singer Sharleen Spiteri said:
I think RZA is rapping about getting high for love. That’s where he is in his life right now – love is what gets him high. He knows the other ‘high’.
The genesis of this disc was special. Indeed Sharleen Spiteri and Johnny McElhone (bassist) had dug in the archives of the group and had come across old sessions of the album White On Blonde (1997). From listening to these old models, brand new songs were born, which gave Hi.
The singer comments:
It’s like we’re collaborating with versions of ourselves from 25 years ago. It’s amazing to come back to this point (my voice was so young!) And to hear the energy and passion that we had. We were fighting for our careers back then, to show the value of Texas.
