Andalusia has 784 hospitalized for Covid-19 this Sunday, the lowest figure since last summer. In addition, those less than 800 admitted who reports the Ministry of Health and Families assumes that the community falls after having risen yesterday in hospitalized, breaking a trend of weeks.

The decline, which has been sustained for more than a month, means that the community has already half of hospitalized than it did in the peak of the fourth wave when, at the end of April, Andalusia counted more than 1,590 admitted by Covid-19.

In ICUs there is also good news. Of the 220 hospitalized in intensive care that were yesterday Saturday, today they have dropped to 211. The community, which reached more than 500 hospitalized in ICUs in the third wave of the pandemic and in the fourth it exceeded 300, has managed to empty the occupied intensive care beds by more than a third.

And all this happens, to a large extent, because the vaccination process is progressing at a good pace. In fact Andalusia is already heading towards the five million doses administered, as reported by the Ministry of Health and Families.

Although due to technical problems this Sunday there are no detailed data, the accumulated vaccination process shows that all Andalusians over 80 years old are already immunized . The same is true for 90 percent of those over 70. And those in the 50-60 range have at least one dose in 60 percent of cases.
