Prof. Dr. Martin Lücke (* 1974) teaches music management and cultural management on the Berlin campus of the Macromedia University and heads the university-wide music management and cultural management competence centers.
Since the 2004/2005 winter semester, Martin Lücke has been teaching at various universities, technical colleges and music colleges and giving workshops on a regular basis. Before becoming a professor, he curated the media-acclaimed exhibition project “Melodies for Millions. The Century of Hit ”as a research associate. Before that, Martin Lücke was dramaturge at the Bochum Symphony Orchestra.

The Tai Chi and mountain bike friend received his doctorate in musicology in 2003, which he took in addition to the fields of modern history and political science in his master’s degree. Thesis topic: Jazz in totalitarianism. A comparative analysis of the politically motivated handling of the subject jazz during National Socialism and Stalinism.
His research interests are currently in the field of tension between (popular) music and the music industry, new forms of (cultural) financing, including crowdfunding, and academic training in the context of popular music and the music industry.
