26:29 against Pfadi Winterthur: HSC Suhr Aarau also loses its second semi-final game
—
Misha Kaufmann’s team have to admit defeat in the home game against Pfadi Winterthur and are 2-0 down in the best-of-five series in the playoff semifinals.

The HSC took the lead with the first attack when Joao Ferraz’s throw sails like a line into the left bend. Pfadi suffered a heavy blow in the fourth minute when playmaker Roman Sidorowicz was rudely stopped and landed unhappy on his shoulder. The national player remains lying down and then has to be replaced if a broken collarbone is suspected.
At this point it is 2: 2, Tim Aufdenblatten scores for HSC, Tynowski and Wipf throw the scouts goals. Suhr Aarau is the decisive team in the starting phase. It is the hosts who put forward, who dictate the beat and rhythm. The guests are not so easy to shake off, once they are two goals behind, but then they come up again. In the 18th minute, Pfadi finally leads for the first time in the game, where the score is 8: 7 from the guest’s point of view. Almost immediately, however, the HSC compensation through a beautiful conclusion from Timothy Reichmuth.
From then on it is an extremely close affair, in which no significant advantages can be seen for any team. However, Pfadi, who takes a 15:13 lead into the break, has a little more luck in the end.
In the second half, the two-goal deficit lasted most of the time in the first few minutes. Sometimes scouts put in one more goal, sometimes the HSC comes close to one goal. The game is now characterized by hectic pace and inaccuracies on both sides. In the final quarter of an hour, the Winterthur team managed to increase their lead to four goals, but Suhr Aarau came up again. Eight minutes before the end of the game, it is still tight, from the perspective of the HSC it is 23:25. And the home side persisted: In the 56th minute they cut down to one goal – 25:26.
A clever scout in Winterthur, however, does not let that bother them and again puts forward that the players at HSC no longer hit their free throws. In the end, Suhr Aarau lost the game with 26:29. This means that if Misha Kaufmann’s team loses in Winterthur next Wednesday, the season is over.
