A Bayern star becomes royal!
It has been official since Friday, which has long been evident: David Alaba (28) is transferring to Real Madrid on a free transfer. This week the Austrian was already with an employee of consultant Pini Zahavi (77) in the Spanish metropolis to look for a place to stay.
At SPORT BILD and BILD, Alaba is now talking for the first time about the change that really hurts Bayern fans.
“13 years at FC Bayern, countless titles and great moments, I’ll never forget that,” explains the man who came to Munich at the age of 15: “Nevertheless, the anticipation is huge to take on this new challenge at Real after the European Championship.”
Alaba is to earn 12.5 million euros net per season with the royal in the future, and also collect a generous amount of hand money – in the double-digit million range. Until recently, PSG, Chelsea, ManCity, Manchester United and FC Barcelona had a turn at Alaba. “This will be a new chapter in life for my family and me. I want to develop personally and athletically, that’s exactly why I’m going to Madrid, ”he explains his departure.
